Local Mum and therapist Carol discusses the benefits of Reiki and has a great offer for Local Mums for Mothers’ Day.
As mums, we are constantly juggling things. Not only are we looking after our family and everything that comes with it, but most of us are also holding down a full or part time job. If you are anything like myself, when Friday arrives you feel like curling up on the sofa and going to sleep - a good 10 hours would be brilliant but, in reality, we are lucky to get 6-8 hours.
This constant treadmill of things to do can result in stress and tension in your neck, shoulders and other areas of the body. Until we can find a moment to relax we can feel completely wiped out and drained.
That is why I recommend Reiki as it not only dissolve’s physical tension, it can also dissolve the fear and anxiety that creates this bodily ‘armour.’
Reiki is a relaxing and calming treatment and it is used to enhance your own body’s natural ability to heal. It can relieve or reduce stress, pain, inflammation and restore your body’s immune system and allowing your body to ward-off immune comprising conditions. It supports all forms of healing, including medical treatment you might already be receiving. Healing can occur on any level; physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
Treat your mum to an hour long relaxing Reiki gift on Mothering Sunday and receive a 30 minute Reiki Session or Indian Head massage for FREE.
Vouchers are valid for 3 months from the day of purchase.

Reviews of Reiki Treatment
“Like putting on a pair of objectivity glasses”
Originally I came to visit Carol because I was very stressed due to my job. I have been visiting Carol on a regular basis for the last five months and I am truly amazed at the changes that have occurred in my life and my attitude towards it. Reiki healing has given me the ability to take more responsibility for my behaviour and the choices that I make.
Initially the effects of Reiki are more rapidly apparent, it is similar to putting on a pair of “objectivity glasses. Suddenly you see your surrounding situation and people for what they are than what you had previously perceived them to be, perhaps as a result of fear of guilt. The outcome of this is the ability to make more rational and objective decisions about friends, work and family members.
Reiki healing will work at the pace that you choose and you can have support of the telephone for the days when you just need to talk to someone about what is going through your mind.
Over the last 5 months I have given up smoking, lost weight, taken up running and have learn to deal better with stressful situations. Reiki is not a cure for anything, it just give’s you the tools to look at things in a far more postive light.
