Little House of Science's weekly out-of-school science and maths workshops are a great way to fire that first spark of enthusiasm for the way things work.
Little House of Science was founded by three ladies - two mums (Veronika Covington and Liliana Crachilova) and one multiple godmother (Elisabeth Keck) - who saw the ever-growing demand from children wanting to learn more about how the world works. "Children who love science and are inspired by it are our inspiration,” says Liliana. "This led to the birth of Little House of Science!"
All three partners take a great interest in the science community and share a passion for the sciences. “We wanted our own children (one boy and three girls) to explore and find answers to the questions about the world around them,” explains Veronika. “Such as how plants breathe, the universe, its galaxies and stars - to name a few.”
Safe and fun
“We felt it would be great to have a safe and fun environment for kids to learn about science and all the questions around it,” says Liliana. "An environment which is active, hands-on and stimulating."
"Our guiding principle is to ensure kids go away with inspiration and enthusiasm about learning and wanting to know more about nature and the supportive facts,” adds Liliana. "We would like to think of ourselves as creating the spark for the next generation of scientists but our main aim is to provide a foundation for youngsters where they will go home after each session knowing a little bit more about our wonderful world and how things work.”
