The weekly sessions are tailored to develop subject-specific skills to prepare pupils for the 11+ grammar and selective school entrance exams.
The 2 hour slots consist of English and Maths tuition followed by short bursts of reasoning (verbal and non-verbal), exam preparation and problem solving skill building activities that have been designed by The Egg professionals to build strong core academic skills, resilience, time management and confidence.
The Egg specialises in designing learning experiences that develop curiosity and build self-esteem so that pupils continue engaging with the focus material outside of the sessions and are driven to succeed by self-motivation, ambition and self-discipline.
The resources and materials are all original and have been developed by The Egg's dedicated and experienced educators.
All courses at the Carshalton and Kingston branches are delivered by Nora, a highly qualified and dedicated professional educator and 11+ specialist with 14 years experience of preparing pupils for entrance exams for the most prestigious private and grammar schools, such as Harrow, Latymer, Westminster Under, Tiffin, Wilson's, King's, St Paul's etc.
Nora has a wealth of experience in both formal educational settings, such as state and independent schools, as well as successful tuition groups in London and Oxford.
Her mission is to bring the best out of EVERY pupil by applying an integrated approach in her practice, representing the highest of standards and outstanding expectations while also tailoring the learning experience for each pupil's individual need and interest.
