Local Mum Rebecca Edmunds' passion for photography started at art college, back in the days before digital when you had to spend hours in a dark room.

"Although photography was always something I had dreamed about making my career, it wasn't until after I had my two children that I finally decided that life is simply too short not to make it happen," says Rebecca.

Creating beautiful images
"I have always been a very creative and aesthetically driven person," explains Rebecca. "I love looking at beautiful images but more than that I love to create them, it provides me with a sense of fulfillment that nothing else seems to (other than getting through a whole day with my children where I have managed to remain patient and not raised my voice once!)"

Rebecca has spent the last eight years working in creative agencies. "I was surrounded by people who have made a living for themselves doing something that they love," explains Rebecca. "I decided this year that I actually wanted to take my passion for photography and do the same thing."

"While my work covers a few different areas - family lifestyle, corporate headshots and more recently boudoir, they all have one thing in common…people," adds Rebecca. "Capturing those little moments or expressions, the essence of what makes you 'you' is what I love doing most."

Moments to treasure
Rebecca's home is filled with photographs of her family and moments that make her smile. "I am constantly changing them as my children grow," says Rebecca. "As a mum, I appreciate just how important it is to capture those special mo
ments. Be it welcoming your new arrival into the world, saying 'I do', a first birthday or a 90th one, there are times in all our lives that we will treasure."

"For me, great photographs should generate an emotional response," adds Rebecca. "I want to be able to create an image that makes you smile, that you will want to look at over and over again."

So if you would like to capture some beautiful memories of those special moments in your family's life, why not give this talented Local Mum a call?
